VIDUSHEE

Shreeja India's Project Vidushee is a new concept of Paying it Forward in India's rural education system. The endeavor seeks to educate first-generation learner tribal children (5-10 years old) through a collaborative approach. Every year since 2020, Senior Shreeja Girls who pass their class X or XII Board Examinations go through an examination and are trained to teach young children (classes I to V) in their respective villages. 150+ young children are already registered with Project Vidushee. Three significant objectives of project Vidushee are:

  • To familiarize tribal children, especially girls with the habit of attending schools regularly and follow instructions from teachers from their tender age of 5 years.
  • To offer opportunities to Shreeja Senior girls (18-20 years) to earn some money by teaching younger girls (5-10 years) in their respective villages. In the process, they too stay in touch with the foundational learning curriculum.
  • To bring the whole community closer through sports-based education and live harmoniously with each other.
